It all started
small.
From Nha Trang to Saigon.
From reception to becoming a waxer.
And eventually, to Linh Lan.
began with one person.
I did not begin with a dream of owning a salon.
Nor did I begin as a professional waxer.
I found a job, learned it one step at a time,
stayed with it for years,
and somewhere along the way it became my work.
Sine's
story.
I grew up in Nha Trang, a seaside city in Vietnam. Looking for a better future, I moved to Ho Chi Minh City with my family and began finding my way in a new city.
My beginning was not glamorous. I started working at reception, and it was there, little by little, that I discovered the world of waxing.
Over the next six years and more, I met many different clients, learned through real experience, studied my craft, and grew into a professional waxer.
Over time, it became my work.”
After years of building experience and saving what I could, I opened a small place where I could care for clients in the way I believed was right.
That was the beginning of Linh Lan.
One step
at a time.
The seaside city where Sine was born and raised, and where her story began with her family.
Looking for a better future, she moved to Ho Chi Minh City with her family and began a new life in an unfamiliar city.
It started at reception. Meeting clients and seeing the work up close introduced her to waxing.
Learning step by step and gaining hands-on experience, she spent more than six years developing her craft.
Eventually, she opened a small waxing studio where she could care for clients in her own way.
Why did I
keep doing this?
After meeting so many people, I gradually realized that waxing is about more than simply removing hair.
Every client is different. Their skin is different, their hair is different, and what they want from their treatment is different.
Learning to understand those differences, making each treatment more comfortable, and seeing clients leave happy became more and more meaningful to me.
is one of the greatest rewards of what I do.
Why something so simple
takes experience.
Waxing can look as simple as applying wax and removing it. In practice, a waxer is constantly paying attention to the condition and temperature of the wax, working efficiently with the hands, observing hair direction, and adapting to each area being treated.
Observe
We begin by looking at the treatment area and the condition of the hair.
Temperature
We check the wax carefully and make sure the temperature is appropriate.
Technique
We work efficiently and carefully, taking the area and direction of hair growth into account.
Finish
We check the area once more and take care of any final details.
One appointment
at Linh Lan.
What actually happens when you visit Linh Lan?
When you arrive for your appointment, we welcome you and give you time to settle in.
We first listen to what you want and any concerns you have, then talk through the options that may suit you.
We prepare for your treatment in a private room.
Based on the consultation, we proceed with your waxing or laser treatment.
Once the treatment is complete, we carefully check the area again.
Before you leave, we explain the aftercare and anything you should keep in mind at home.
Or would laser be better for me?”
We do not believe there is one answer for everyone.
The right choice can depend on whether you want an immediately smooth result or longer-term hair reduction, as well as the area you want to treat and the way you prefer to manage your hair.
That is why we start by listening. Before recommending a service, we want to understand what kind of care makes sense for you. This is an important part of the way Sine approaches consultation.
From waxing
to laser.
After years of waxing, I naturally began meeting more clients who were looking for a longer-term approach to hair removal.
That led me to begin learning about laser hair removal.
I did not believe that simply having a machine was enough. I needed to understand the equipment, pay attention to the treatment area and each client's condition, and build real hands-on experience.
I wanted to understand it properly.
Laser Hair
Removal.
Take a look at how a real laser treatment is carried out at Linh Lan.
We believe seeing how we actually work is one of the best ways to understand Linh Lan.
“More than any single treatment, what matters is maintaining the same standard every time.”
I hope waxing can become
a profession that is truly respected.
Linh Lan is no longer a place where I work alone.
Today, my team and I continue to learn and grow together. I want Linh Lan to be a place where we can help more people discover good waxing services in Vietnam, while also creating an environment where the people doing this work can feel proud of their profession.
If Linh Lan can contribute to that in even a small way, it would mean a great deal to me.
And the story
is still being written.
Years after starting in a small space, Sine still meets clients, performs treatments, and shares what she has learned with the people who now work alongside her.
That is how Linh Lan began.
And that is still how we build it, one day at a time.
